Thousands of people gathered in Buenos Aires to celebrate and to express a strong message to "stop the politics of hate and fascist violence".

Viviana Cardano, from the State Workers' Association (ATE), spoke with the Noticias Argentinas agency about her presence in the large mobilization from Diagonal Norte to the Congress:

"Today we are all here to reject the policies of this new government and the persecution that the LGBTQ+ collective has been suffering since Milei's statements in Davos onwards".

"It is necessary that in this march not only the collective is present, but all comrades from different sectors are here. In my case, I am from the Gender Secretariat of the Internal Board of the Pacheco Hospital, but the invitation has been for everyone, not only the LGBTQ+ community, but for state workers," she expressed.

In a great atmosphere where trucks, colors, music, chants, the smoke from the grills and aromas mix, everyone is focused on celebrating, but also on continuing with the demands and rejections dictated by the Government, such as the DNU that removes medication from trans people, trans children, and the historical reparation for older trans adult women.

Mariana, a teacher from San Fernando and the Unified Teachers' Federation of Buenos Aires (SUTEBA), also approached and in dialogue with NA, said that they are marching to demand "schools with inclusion for all gender choices".

When asked about the current status of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (ESI) Law and how it can be provided in schools, Mariana explained:

"Working in the province of Buenos Aires, it is a totally different panorama and the law has been, is and will always be part of the curriculum design".

The streets around the Congress are tinged with colors, music and rejection of the policies of Javier Milei's Government in the 34th edition of the LGBTIQ+ Pride March 2025.
